Thank you for choosing us to provide healthcare for your animal. The mission of Mountain Empire Affiliated Hospitals is to provide superior large, small, and exotic animal veterinary medical and surgical services, including comprehensive health care and wellness services to our patients through supportive and cost effective methods for our clients. We are committed to you to do the very best we can to provide your pet or farm animal the very best of care.

Our History

Mountain Empire Animal Hospital was established in October 1972 by Dr. Cassell and Dr. Scott, with Dr. Snodgrass joining the practice in May 1973. We have constantly pursued a philosophy of general practice for large and small animal medicine and surgery. Jonesborough Animal Hospital was established in 1980. Young's Animal Hospital was acquired in 1987. Jones Animal hospital was acquired in 1987, and Sycamore Shoals Animal Hospital was established in 1989. At this time, we maintain five small animal hospitals, one large animal hospital, and seven ambulatory vehicles to make farm calls.

The doctors and staff of all of our hospitals take great pride in providing current therapies for our patients. Each practice has provided information for their clients on their individual websites, which you can access under the Hospitals tab above.

Visit your hospital's website to login! In addition, you may have access to reminders, medication history, and information concerning your pet's health by visiting your hospital's individual website on the tab above and logging-in to your PetPortal.

Diagnostics

All of our hospitals provide radiology and basic laboratory testing. In addition, certain of our hospitals offer extra diagnostics in the following areas: ultrasound (abdominal and thoracic), orthopedic surgery, including bone plating, video endoscopy, laser surgery, video otoscopy, and exotic animal medicine.
